Strutto was born in January 2021.
From an idea of Luca Donninelli
who dreamed of bringing the culture of piadina to the heart of Copenhagen.
The meeting with his ex-girlfriend Cecilia Aroni,
leads him to discover the traditional Crescia sfogliata d’Urbino.
And so starting from a recipe of Cecilia's grandmother Maria
they managed to create a new one by integrating Danish products and giving life to the first Crescia sfogliata di Strutto.
They have chosen the name Strutto because of its ability to transform itself
at the different temperatures to which it is subjected.
Just like them, it is constantly evolving.
Born all as a game from an instagram account they managed in full lockdown to bring hundreds of Cresce into the homes of many Danes,
managing to get people talking right away thanks to the provocative phase "Better than a fucking tortilla" that they wrote on all their packages.
Among the thousands of houses visited, Luca meets Antonio Dell’Aquilano
with whom he will meet a few days later to talk more about the project and will become part of the company.
Project that begins to grow and find the opportunity to sign a contract with the Broens Gadekøkken market for the summer season,
giving the opportunity to be known and satisfy a thousand customers.
In November 2022 they managed to open the first store in the heart of Copenhagen.
By expanding their offer and succeeding in their intent to bring a bit of Italian tradition and culture to Denmark.
